What this role is all about
The Pastry Cook is responsible for pastry and baking production, following the directive of the Pastry Chef, for all hotel outlets. The baker is responsible for the quality and timeliness of the product and for the cleanliness and organization of the pastry shop.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate production of all baked goods and dessert items ordered by the outlets
- Plan and organize production, purchasing and scheduling
- Control food and labor costs
- Produce the highest quality standards for bakery and pastry
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all pastry cooking and decorating techniques and skills: Possess thorough knowledge of methods of preparation of classical and modern desserts, breads and pastries
- Work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines and demands of business
- Check staffing, uniforms, daily production sheets, etc
- Check production for all meal periods to ensure consistency
- Attend department meetings
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description

- 3 years experience in pastry kitchen of a luxury hotel
- Culinary degree or relevant experience
REQUIREMENTS

$26.50 to $28.50 Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience.
