Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle various chemical agents safely while cleaning, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and moving furniture or supplies in accordance with safe lifting practices.
- Maintain facilities by performing routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, window washing, and surface disinfecting.
- Operate commercial cleaning equipment efficiently to ensure optimal cleaning results across all designated areas.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any cleaning-related concerns promptly and professionally, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for staff and visitors alike.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety procedures is essential.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and cleaning equipment operation to deliver high-quality results.
- Customer service skills that enable effective communication with staff and visitors regarding cleanliness standards.
