Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other tools efficiently and safely
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and toppings based on customer preferences and industry trends
- Manage food production during high-volume periods while adhering to recipe adherence and quality standards
- Handle food handling tasks including ingredient preparation, portioning, and plating with precision
- Maintain proper food safety management practices and ensure compliance with all health regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly with pizza or similar cuisine preferred
- Strong culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and knife skills
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling protocols
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a high-volume production setting
- Familiarity with dietary aide experience, menu planning, and dietary department operations is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on recipe adherence and meal preparation standards
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output
