Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to assess patient needs and provide tailored massage treatments. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and preferences.
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and promote relaxation.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and occupational health to provide informed care.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed for comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in pain management techniques.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Experience in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other therapeutic modalities is preferred.
- Ability to perform patient assessments effectively.
- Knowledge of occupational health practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with med spa environments is advantageous but not required.
