Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, coordinating patient visits and provider availability to optimize clinic flow.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) by entering data meticulously and updating patient information regularly.
- Handle incoming phone calls professionally, providing clear information, scheduling appointments, and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Assist with insurance third-party billing processes, verifying coverage, submitting claims, and following up on reimbursements.
- Support revenue cycle management activities by processing payments, tracking outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collections.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to facilitate seamless information exchange and coordinate patient care activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns promptly and ensuring a positive experience during visits.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation, report generation, and correspondence as needed within daily operations.
Experience
- Prior administrative experience within a healthcare setting is essential, with familiarity in managing medical office workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is required for daily documentation and communication tasks.
- Knowledge of managed care practices and health insurance procedures enhances efficiency in billing and claims processing.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is necessary for accurate data entry and record management.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology is important for effective communication with healthcare providers and patients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules effectively while balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for internal correspondence and client interactions.
