JOB OVERVIEW:
The Project Manager is responsible for the financial and physical aspects of project construction, ensuring the Owner's satisfaction. The Project Manager should provide leadership to the Project Superintendents and Project Engineers regarding scheduling, quality, productivity goals, and overall administration and supervision of the project.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review plans and specifications and assist Estimators with schedule planning, productions and procedures including review of estimate for cost adequacy and constructability.
- Establish relationships to ensure prompt and consistent approach with Owners, Developers, Project A/Es, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and others affiliated with the project prior to, during, and post construction by maintaining good working relationships.
- Attend and participate in pre-job conferences with project personnel of Owners, Developers, and A/Es as well as HDCC in-house pre-job conferences.
- Attend all meetings with Owners and Architects
- Plan, direct and coordinate activities of the project team to complete the project within all contract requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines to local and federal requirements.
- Review and approve all written communications regarding the project prior to being sent out.
- Investigate and initiate new methods and cost savings procedures including design and construct equipment for better production when necessary.
- Assist with the preparation of a good project closeout report.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related fieldplus four (4) years practical construction experience or equivalent eight (8) years practial experience required.
- Preferred civil engineer experience.
- Must have technical knowledge of all trades working under his/her supervision.
- Management skills necessary for supervision and administration of the project.
- Practical knowledge of construction, equipment, contract law, general business, and human relations.
- Knowledge of estimating, negotiating, scheduling, and marketing techniques applicable to a practical project assigned.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications.

Starting Salary: $130,000.00/yr.
