Job Summary

Duties
- Assist in developing and updating project schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing initiatives
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues affecting production efficiency and quality
- Support CAD design efforts using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo for tooling, fixtures, or process layouts
- Contribute to programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems
- Participate in plastics injection molding processes, including setup, troubleshooting, and process optimization
- Help implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to improve workflows and reduce waste
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process engineering projects, including robotics integration, CNC programming, and vision inspection systems
- Analyze engineering data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and quality enhancement within manufacturing facilities
- Assist in preparing schematics, technical drawings, and documentation for industrial equipment and systems
- Support factory experience initiatives such as assembly line optimization, tooling improvements, and fabrication processes
Skills
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, process improvement techniques, and industrial automation tools
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo for designing schematics and layouts
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robot programming, CNC/CAM programming, and vision inspection systems
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, tooling design, and fabrication methods
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma practices, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and ISO 9001 standards
- Ability to perform engineering troubleshooting across various manufacturing equipment and systems
- Excellent analytical skills for manufacturing data analysis and root cause investigations
- Effective team collaboration skills to work seamlessly across cross-functional departments such as quality assurance, production engineering, and maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly lines, robotics integration, tooling design, and mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Strong communication skills for documenting processes, creating schematics, and presenting findings effectively
