Looking for a Illinois Licenced Electrical PE that is motivated to jump in and start taking on new projects, assist with current projects and stay with a small firm. Candate should be looking for a long-term position where growth is fast and financial compensation is much larger than industry standards.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Currently Licensed in Illinois or Graduated from an IL accredited school in order to obtain a future license, other state licenses are acceptable as long as IL license can be obtained.
- design lighting and electrical layouts for buildings using AutoCAD (Required), Revit experience is a plus.
- Education:
- Bachelor's (Required) from a US University qualified by Illinois to obtain a Professional Engineer’s license.

Looking for MEP Design experience only!
If you do not have experience in MEP, you will not be considered.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform designs of lighting, security products, electrical, and data building design, independently for smaller/less technical projects; supervision of senior engineer for complex projects.
- Prepare CAD and/or REVIT production drawings of Electrical systems from schematic to construction design phases with the support of dedicated technical staff as needed.
- Prepare and edit specifications relating to existing or new projects.
- Specify products and manufacturers
- Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance of specifications and contract documents. Participate or lead value engineering sessions with Architectural/Engineering team.
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (Electrical Systems focus).
- Illinois PE licensed or can obtain one upon hire
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills are essential.
- Site visits frequently require a physical walk through of site and may be done independently.
