Role Summary: We are seeking a Commercial Sales Associate / Commercial Estimator & Project Manager to help lead and grow the commercial painting division. This role is focused on estimating and managing commercial painting projects, breaking down plans and scopes, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, protecting margins, and helping ensure commercial projects start on time, run profitably, and stay on track. The right person will eventually own the commercial division and act like a true partner in the business.
Salary Information: This is a salary position with a base salary starting around $60,000–$80,000 Bonus potential is around 20% of base salary, and may be tied to estimate quality, landed work, jobs starting on time, profitability, and project execution. A company truck is provided. Benefits were not fully detailed and should be confirmed before offer.
Responsibilities:
- Estimate and manage commercial painting projects.
- Break down plans, scopes, products, wall covering needs, and paint requirements.
- Pull plans and write accurate estimates / bids.
- Manage projects after they are sold.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors.
- Help ensure projects start on time, run profitably, and stay on track.
- Manage commercial project execution and protect the company’s reputation.
- Support commercial work already in motion, including larger hotel, school, YMCA, and dorm projects.
- Help protect gross margin through accurate estimating, material planning, and subcontractor coordination.
- Support relationship development with local builder groups and general contractors when needed.
- Use CRM, communication tools, and project tracking systems consistently.
- Treat the commercial division like their own and help build it for long-term growth.
Requirements:
- Commercial painting experience required.
- Strong paint knowledge required.
- Commercial estimating and project management experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read plans, review scopes, and write estimates.
- Understanding of commercial painting operations, products, techniques, procedures, and project execution.
- Wall covering experience is a strong plus.
- Drywall or wall covering experience may translate if closely connected to commercial painting.
- Professional, reliable, and accountable.
- Strong communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members.
- Comfortable working from home without needing to be babysat.
- Willing to use technology, update CRM systems, and follow processes.
- Adaptable when project needs change or issues come up.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
