Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and professional Bus Driver to join our team. In this role, you will transport disabled/ mentally challenged individuals to and from their day program. You will plan the most efficient route, ensure adherence to pick up and drop off schedules, and perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has experience driving 25 passenger buses and makes safety a number one priority. Passenger endorsement with no passenger limit restrictions required.
Responsibilities
- Pick up materials and goods in one location and transport to another location.
- Perform daily pre and post safety inspections and immediately report maintenance needs
- Plan the safest and most efficient routes of travel
- Adhere to route schedule
- Maintain detailed mileage logs
- Comply with all company policies and driving laws
Qualifications
- minimum 2 years previous experience as a Bus Driver is preferred
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Understanding of all relevant DOT driving laws and regulations
- Ability to operate wheelchair lift.
- Clean driving record
- Willingness to work evenings and Saturdays as needed
