Overview

Duties
- Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts
- Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, order pickers, and <PERSON> pickers to facilitate efficient order fulfillment and inventory movement.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments by verifying quantities, inspecting for damages, and accurately recording data within the warehouse management system.
- Assist with order picking processes to prepare products for shipment while maintaining accuracy and speed.
- Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure optimal operation of all heavy machinery.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas, stacking pallets safely, and maintaining a clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety protocols, and uphold high standards of materials handling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment within a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory control practices.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for forklift maintenance or troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipment details accurately.
- Prior warehouse experience involving order picking, materials handling, or distribution operations is highly preferred.
- Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications such as OSHA safety training are advantageous.
