About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Parts Manager to oversee the
procurement, inventory, and distribution of aircraft parts for our operations. The Parts
Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that all parts are properly sourced, stored, and
distributed in compliance with FAA Part 145 and Part 135 regulations. This position requires
strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team while
meeting operational deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of aircraft parts operations, including procurement, storage, inventory control, and distribution.
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations related to the handling, storage, and documentation of parts.
Develop and implement processes to optimize inventory management and reduce downtime.
Lead and supervise a team of parts specialists, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in daily
operations.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive
pricing and timely delivery of parts.
Oversee the maintenance of inventory records and ensure the accuracy of stock levels.
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to forecast parts needs and plan
ahead for scheduled maintenance.
Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and tracking
of parts.
Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure compliance with company policies and
regulatory requirements.
Provide support during AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations by expediting critical parts orders.
Work Schedule
Must be available for on-call support during emergencies, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Required Experience:
o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in parts management, preferably in aviation or a related industry.
o Strong knowledge of FAA Part 145 and Part 135 regulations.
o Proficiency in inventory management systems and software.
o Experience in managing and leading a team.
Preferred Skills:
o Familiarity with aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs).
o Strong negotiation skills for vendor and supplier management.
o Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Other Requirements:
o Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
o Willingness to travel occasionally to support operations at different locations.
o Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
