The State of New Hampshire, Judicial Branch, 6th Circuit, has a Full-Time vacancy for Senior Court Operations Specialist. This position is assigned to a 9-step scale. Hiring typically occurs within steps 1-5, depending on education and experience.
Summary: The Senior Court Operations Specialist is an advanced-level professional position responsible for coordinating and overseeing complex court operations within the New Hampshire Judicial Branch. This role serves as a subject matter expert in case processing and court procedures, provides guidance to staff, and supports management in ensuring efficient, accurate, and consistent court operation.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Two (2) years of customer service experience, or court clerical, legal, with demonstrated responsibility in case processing or court operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of court operations, policies, and procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex situations and make sound decisions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in data entry and standard office software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within a court system, preferably in progressively responsible roles
- Strong knowledge of court rules, legal terminology, and case management systems
- Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, or lead staff
- Experience with data entry, reporting, or process improvement initiatives
Work Environment:
- Office setting within a courthouse environment
- Frequent interaction with the public, attorneys, and justice system partners
- May require occasional travel between court locations

Successful completion of a background check, including a criminal records check.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily court operations, ensuring compliance with court rules, policies, and procedures
- Process and review complex case filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Serve as a subject matter expert on case management systems, court procedures, and legal documentation
- Provide guidance, training, and support to Court Operations Specialists and clerical staff
- Assist in developing and implementing operational policies, procedures, and best practices
- Monitor case flow and identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and service delivery
- Prepare and analyze reports, statistical data, and operational metrics for management review
- Coordinate courtroom scheduling, calendars, and case assignments
- Serve as a liaison with judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and the public on procedural matters
- Resolve escalated customer service issues and complex inquiries
- Assist with special projects, system upgrades, and statewide initiatives
