A family-oriented excavation and trucking company in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania is looking for a dedicated Lead Hand Diesel Mechanic to join their team of skilled technicians. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanics while remaining hands-on in the shop and field.
- Manage daily operations of a 3.5-bay shop while actively performing repairs and maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of heavy trucks and construction equipment.
- Work on Volvo, Peterbilt, and Mack trucks along with heavy equipment including loaders, dozers, and backhoes.
- Utilize diagnostic software such as Tech Tool and JPro to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Perform field service repairs and emergency breakdown work using company service trucks.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies while fostering a positive work environment.
- Must possess strong leadership skills and maintain a calm, composed demeanor under pressure.
- Must have own hand tools.
Requirements:
- CDL Class A or B License.
- Pennsylvania State Inspection License.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Lead Hand or Supervisory Mechanic role.
- Valid driver's license.
- Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset.
- ASE Certifications considered an asset.
Compensation:
- $30.00 - $40.00/HR (based on experience and qualifications).
- Typical overtime of 5-10 hours per week.
