Job Summary
The role involves carrying out assigned calibration services at the Service Center, contributing to the achievement of team and annual performance objectives.
Deliver an excellent customer experience by communicating clearly and effectively—setting expectations, providing timely updates, and ensuring all interactions are professional, accurate, and customer-focused.
Ensure all services are executed with precision and completed within required timelines. Maintain detailed and accurate records to support billing processes and meet quality management system standards.
Adhere to ISO requirements, including maintaining up-to-date training certifications, while following all company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines under the direction of management.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration, verification, and adjustment of single-channel and multi-channel pipettes in accordance with manufacturer specifications and ISO/GLP/GMP requirements.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on pipettes, including cleaning, lubrication, seal replacement, O-ring replacement, piston inspection, and general servicing to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and repair defective pipettes and identify components requiring replacement.
- Perform gravimetric testing and maintain accurate calibration records and documentation.
- Generate calibration certificates and service reports with traceability to applicable standards.
- Ensure all calibration and maintenance activities comply with company quality procedures and applicable regulatory standards.
- Maintain calibration equipment, balances, weights, and environmental monitoring devices in proper working condition.
- Schedule and coordinate calibration and preventive maintenance activities for customer equipment.
- Communicate with customers regarding service findings, repair recommendations, and equipment status.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, consumables, and service tools required for pipette maintenance and calibration.
- Support internal quality audits and assist in maintaining laboratory accreditation requirements.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical certification is an asset
- 2 -4 years of relevant experience in a technical, service, or customer-facing role (or equivalent military training)
- Strong communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
