Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to manage time effectively, and a commitment to safety on the road.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using pallet jacks and forklifts as needed, ensuring all items are secured properly during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and delivery times.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients upon delivery and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on the road, including organizing inventory and preparing shipments for delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a warehouse setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.93 - $18.30 per hour
