LPN or Certified Medical Assistant – Endocrinology Clinic
Our busy Endocrinology Clinic is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated LPN or experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team full-time.
The ideal candidate must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient care and working well with both patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Initiating prior authorizations and appeals for medications and imaging. Follow up on the determinations.
- Communicating with patients in a clear professional manner consistent with the providers instructions in reference to lab results and treatment plans.
- Provide patient education regarding medications and procedures.
- Authorizing medication refills.
- Provide support and assistance to fellow nurses and medical assistants during periods of high patient volume and clinical demand.
- Assist with the responsibilities of an absent team member as needed to maintain workflow and patient care.
- Assist providers with education and demonstrations of medical devices.
- Ordering appropriate labs, images and procedures as specified by the provider.
