We are looking for dependable workers to work in our Ogden Heat Office. Our open position include: Heat Eligibility Workers.
- Applicants will enter, view and scan sensitive documents to assist with the Heat eligibility process for Weber, Morgan, and Davis County residents.
- Applicant must have great verbal and written skills to assist with the completion of Heat applications.
- Applicant must have a positive attitude, great customer service skills , and be willing to help all households that apply for energy assistance.
- Must be detail oriented and a critical thinker.
- Must have the knowledge to use basic office equipment: Computers, fax, scanners, multiple phone lines, and email.
- Have the knowledge to use a computer, enter data onto a spreadsheet, read and write emails, and enter data into the state database system.
- Must be able to negotiate with utility companies and refer clients to other available resources.
- Must assess each Heat Application to educate clients on energy saving strategies.
- Must implement a structured time and organizational strategy to complete Heat applications in a required time frame.
- Must have an understanding of the confidential procedures and protection policies when assisting clients.
-Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must pass a background screening.
- A typing test will be required.
- Bi-Lingual speaking, reading and writing is a plus
