General Description:
The Plant Technician can move to any job in the plant, they are not hired for any specific operation. The Plant Technician will be properly trained prior to performing any operation by WPCC. Lifting requirements are up to 55 lbs. when required from floor height to chest height. The Plant Technician will have a "home" department and Supervisor where they will report to at the beginning of their shift but may at times require to move to where the work is necessary in order to maintain continuous flow manufacturing. All safety Equipment (PPE) for the training operation will be supplied to the Plant Technician by WPCC. The Employee is required to wear full leather steel toed safety shoes and safety glasses with side shields in all areas of the plant.
Typical Duties could include:
1.) Wax Injection / Assembly
2.) Robotic shell dipping / Autoclaving
3.) General foundry work
4.) Shell removal (knock-out), Casting removal (cut-off, cold-break)
5.) Casting Grinding (Hand / CNC Grinder)
6.) Sand or Shot Blasting (Hand / Automated)
7.) Casting Inspection, Deburring, Straightening, and Welding
Requirements:
- No prior work experience is required as WPCC will train the Plant Technician on all required job functions.
- Must be able to read and understand written instructions.
- Must be able to enter data on a computer data collection system.
