Job Title: Travel RN – Ambulatory Surgery (Pre-Op / PACU)

Contract: 13 Weeks with possibility of extension
Pay: $2,040 per week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Travel RN specializing in Ambulatory Surgery, focusing on Pre-Operative (Pre-Op) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal recovery. Responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for ambulatory surgery patients.
- Monitor and assess patients throughout the perioperative recovery process.
- Perform Phase II recovery assessments and ensure patients are ready for discharge.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR.
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered outpatient surgical environment
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN License
- BLS & ACLS (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Pre-Op & Post-Op experience required
- Phase II Recovery experience required
- PACU experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
