Bilingual Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator

We are a well-established company with multiple locations throughout San Diego County seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Bilingual Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This position supports the day-to-day HR functions for a diverse workforce in both field and office environments.

Schedule
- Part-Time (20–30 hours per week)
- Monday–Friday (some Saturdays as needed)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee paperwork.
- Complete I-9 verification.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files.
- Assist with recruiting, scheduling interviews, and extending employment offers.
- Process employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and separations.
- Support employee benefits enrollment and leave administration.
- Track attendance, paid sick leave, vacation, and other employee records.
- Assist with payroll processing by reviewing timekeeping records and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare HR correspondence, employment verifications, disciplinary documentation, and other employee communications.
- Assist with workers' compensation claims, return-to-work documentation, and safety-related records as well as EDD documentations.
- Ensure compliance with California and federal employment laws.
- Respond to employee questions regarding company policies and procedures.
- Support HR projects and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of California employment laws.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with payroll systems.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law in talent management along with familiarity with OSHA standards and workers' compensation procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in administrative tasks like data entry and contract management.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with managers and employees across multiple locations.
- Assist with HR legal compliance management by ensuring adherence to employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and affirmative action planning.
