Overview
The CDL A: Lowboy Driver is responsible for the safe operation of a company owned tri- tractor-trailer for the hauling and delivery of heavy construction equipment.
Duties:
· Safely operates a company tractor with lowboy and Landoll trailers.
· Operates equipment to safely load and unload on lowboy and Landoll trailers (Loaders, Pavers, Milling Machine, Backhoes, Dozer, Excavators, etc..).
· Delivers heavy equipment to and from job sites.
· Completes daily pre/post trip inspections.
· Always maintains a clean vehicle.
· Maintains and submits upon request, a truck log.
· Communicates regularly with dispatcher, foremen, superintendents, project managers and other supervisors to ensure direction and job site conditions are known.
· Reports all issues, incidents, and accidents to Dispatcher.
· Must be able to travel to all assigned job sites.
· Performs other assignments as required.
Qualifications:
· High school degree or GED required.
· Valid driver’s license required.
· CDL, Class A required.
· Hold and maintain valid DOT driver credentials required.
· Safe and courteous driving abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Working knowledge of tri-axle dump truck/tractor-trailer operations.
· Experience with commercial driving.
· Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
· Strong time management skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
· Ability to successfully work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to make decisions on safe/unsafe working conditions and within company guidelines and standards.
Working Conditions:
· Involves work for heavy civil construction company where duties can potentially be performed in both indoor/outdoor/daytime/nighttime working conditions. Employee can be exposed to equipment/vehicle hazards, heights/subsurface levels, dust/fumes, chemicals, confined spaces, traffic hazards, loud noise levels and outside weather conditions related to Mid-Atlantic region.
· Fit for duty including physical requirements of standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, verbally communicating, hearing, sitting and occasionally lifting/moving approximately 75 pounds.
· Must be able to travel on occasion as needed.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
