The Security Officer plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, secure, and controlled environment across the hospital’s buildings and grounds. This position supports staff, patients, and visitors by performing routine patrols, responding to incidents, and upholding hospital security standards.
Director of Maintenance
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: One year of security, safety, or related experience required
- Skills:
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities
- Ability to manage potentially violent situations calmly and professionally
- Adequate hearing, speaking, and vision to perform all job functions

- Assist in developing and updating hospital security guidelines and procedures
- Monitor compliance with established security protocols and report deficiencies
- Recommend improvements to enhance safety and compliance
- Coordinate annual reviews of the Security Management Plan with the PI Coordinator
- Review and investigate all security incidents, providing follow‑up and reporting to the Safety Committee
- Oversee acquisition and maintenance of security equipment
- Support department directors in creating area‑specific security procedures
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support hospital operations
