Immediately seeking an experienced Title Clerk for our busy Buy Here Pay Here Dealerships. Minimum of 1 year experience in automotive titling is preferred. You must be organized with excellent attention to detail. Schedule
Monday-Friday 9am-6pm | No Weekends
Compensation
$18-22/hour, dependent on experience
Responsibilities:
- The Title Clerk handles the legal transfer of documents on the customer’s behalf between the dealership and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Examine contracts/deal paperwork to assure conformity to specified requirements
- Process all new vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled
- Prepare tax and title documents
- Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
- Verify that funds have been collected before processing title applications
- Process paperwork in a timely manner
- Comply and maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work
- Stays abreast of county and state title regulation requirements
- Understand deadlines and is able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to tasks
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience working in a busy office environment required
- 1-3 years of automotive Title Clerk experience preferred
- Automotive accounting or Dealer Track experience a plus
- Active Notary Public certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills required
- Team-oriented and comfortable in an open office setting is required
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.
- Valid Driver's License
