Job Summary
The Leasing Manager is an integral member of the community leadership team, supporting day-to-day operations across leasing, resident relations, accounts payable, and property maintenance. This role requires a highly organized, service-oriented professional who can operate effectively in a fast-paced multifamily environment. Key Responsibilities
Leasing and Resident Relations
- Support the leasing team with tours, prospect follow-up, and application processing as needed during peak periods
- Assist in executing lease renewal programs and driving resident retention through proactive outreach and responsive service
- Serve as a primary point of contact for resident communications, including addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and managing requests in a timely and professional manner
- Process move-out notices, lease transfers, and renewal paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail
Rent Collections and Compliance
- Oversee rent collection efforts, post payments accurately in Yardi Voyager, and ensure ledgers remain current
- Issue late payment notices and three-day notices to pay in accordance with local legal requirements and company policy
- Coordinate with the Property Manager on delinquency management and escalation to legal proceedings when applicable
Accounts Payable and Vendor Management
- Review, GL code, and process invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved budgets
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors on service scheduling, work order follow-up, and invoice discrepancies
- Maintain documentation for vendor activity in support of month-end close and audit readiness
Property Operations
- Conduct regular property walks to verify vendor performance, identify maintenance or cleanliness concerns, and document any resident violations
- Inspect vacant units and model apartments to confirm move-in readiness and compliance with unit turn standards
- Report property observations and concerns to the Property Manager, escalating issues as appropriate
General
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Property Manager or regional leadership, demonstrating flexibility and a team-first mindset
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or comparable property management software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize across multiple concurrent responsibilities

- Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed
- Ability to conduct property walks, including extended walking and stair navigation
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on property location
