Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety.
Duties
- Operate trucks equipped for different types of freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure that all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with knowledge of freight handling.
- Familiarity with operating various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo.
- Strong understanding of route driving principles and navigation skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to pass background checks and adhere to safety regulations.
