Position Overview
We are seeking two dependable, detail-oriented Day Porters to provide temporary janitorial coverage at a government Health & Human Services facility. This position requires professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the building.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms throughout the day
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Sweep, mop, maintain floors
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and horizontal surfaces
- Clean glass and high-touch surfaces
- Maintain hallways, common areas, offices, and break rooms
- Restock restroom and janitorial supplies
- Spot clean walls, doors, and other surfaces as needed
- Respond to routine cleaning requests
- Follow all safety procedures and facility protocols
- Perform other general day porter duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to obtain a county-issued security badge prior to starting work. We will provide instructions on how to do so.
- Previous commercial janitorial or custodial experience is preferred.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Additional Information
Because this position is located in a government facility, all selected candidates must successfully complete the required background screening and county badge process before beginning work.
Excellent attendance, professionalism, and reliability are essential.
