50 Stars Staffing is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for Emotional Disabilities (ED) Self-Contained Classrooms in Lexington, SC. These are face-to-face positions for educators who are passionate about supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs in a structured, therapeutic learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction in an ED self-contained classroom.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and positive behavior support strategies.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet students' individual needs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, South Carolina Department of Education regulations, and district policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Current South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification is required.
- Experience teaching students with Emotional Disabilities (ED) or in a self-contained classroom is strongly preferred.
- Strong classroom management, behavior intervention, communication, and collaboration skills.
