About Us:
We are a professionally managed commercial property located in a high-quality, Class A business district in Fishers/Indianapolis, Indiana. We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and highly responsive Maintenance Technician to oversee the daily upkeep and ensure the property continues to operate at top standards. This individual will act as the “eyes and ears” of the property, helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for tenants and visitors.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for routine maintenance, inspections, minor repairs, and oversight of vendor performance. The ideal candidate is honest, reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in a broad range of maintenance tasks. This position requires proactive communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, routine, and preventative maintenance throughout the commercial property.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of maintenance issues (minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, general repairs).
- Access and inspect roofs when needed to assess potential issues safely.
- Maintain the property to Class A commercial standards at all times.
- Oversee and ensure that third-party vendors (landscaping, HVAC, janitorial, etc.) are performing their duties effectively.
- Report conditions, concerns, or repair needs promptly to the Property Manager.
- Use a smartphone to take clear photos, document findings, and communicate via text.
- Stay organized and ensure all maintenance tasks and work orders are completed promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience in commercial or mixed-use properties preferred.
- Strong general maintenance and troubleshooting abilities.
- Highly reliable, honest, and responsive, with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable climbing roofs and performing physical tasks as needed.
- HVAC experience or basic knowledge is a PLUS, but not required.
- Must have a smartphone with camera capability and be comfortable sending photos and communicating regularly.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of accountability.
