Duties
- Support classroom teachers with lesson planning and instructional activities across subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood curriculum.
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or other developmental challenges.
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
- Provide direct support to students during classroom activities, including preschool teaching, toddler care, and Montessori-based lessons.
- Aid in classroom management by organizing materials, setting up learning stations, and ensuring a clean and organized learning space.
- Collaborate with teachers on curriculum development efforts tailored to diverse student needs, including working with individuals with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Engage children in educational play, social interactions, and developmental activities that promote literacy education, numeracy skills, and emotional growth.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for every child.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and experience supporting children with diverse needs—including those with autism or disabilities—is advantageous.
- Experience assisting with classroom management and behavior management strategies in preschool or private school environments is desirable.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for early learners, including Montessori methods or preschool teaching techniques.
- Technical proficiency in educational tools and resources relevant to early childhood education is beneficial.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with teachers on lesson planning and classroom activities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff while fostering a positive learning environment.
