This is a full-time, school-based role, working in West Palm Beach, FL, offering a pay rate starting at $40/hr. Role Details:

- Schedule: M-F, 8:15 am – 3:15 pm, with some variation
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide individualized, specialized instruction to secondary students with disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor meaningful IEPs collaboratively with families, staff, and related service providers.
- Adapt curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies to meet each student’s unique needs.
- Track and document student progress in academic, behavioral, and developmental areas.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive practices and accommodations.
- Facilitate small-group and one-on-one instruction aligned with student IEP goals.
- Maintain compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and Florida ESE legal requirements.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs.
- Support a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or related field.
- Valid Florida teaching certification in Special Education, with a focus on secondary (MS/HS) populations.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in secondary education.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Bilingual skills are preferred to effectively serve diverse student populations.
- Skilled in differentiated instruction, classroom management, and behavioral support.
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and Florida ESE regulations.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Other Requirements:
- Valid Florida teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with secondary (middle and high school) students.
- Ability to stand, sit, and handle occasional lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Flexibility to handle interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress.
