Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and implementing curriculum tailored to preschool and elementary students, including Montessori methods and other educational frameworks.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and inclusive environment conducive to active learning and positive behavior.
- Engage with children during activities such as literacy education, math exercises, toddler care, and hands-on curriculum development to promote their academic growth.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with special needs or disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate educational assistance aligned with individualized plans.
- Help supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch periods, and transitions to foster independence and social skills.
- Collaborate closely with teachers on classroom management strategies, behavioral interventions, and progress assessments to enhance student success.
- Maintain clear communication with staff and parents regarding student progress, needs, and classroom updates while adhering to confidentiality standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in an educational support role or childcare setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom experience in early childhood education or elementary settings is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices, curriculum development, literacy education, and math instruction enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in private school environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or toddler care techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills combined with technical proficiency in educational tools or classroom management software are important for success.
- A background in teaching young children across diverse settings—including preschool teaching—will help you thrive as part of our dedicated team.
- Must have at least six ECE units.
