Overview
We are seeking a skilled Water Transfer Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment water transfer pump mainly. Having experience working on hydro vac trucks.The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with diesel and industrial machinery. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Also if your a college student we off an internship program.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics on water transfer pump and fluid ends, and hydro vac trucks to identify issues.
- Conduct repairs on various systems including hydraulics, air brakes, and suspensions.
- Maintain and repair John Deere Pumps machinery, and other industrial equipment.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and repair tasks.
- Execute routine vehicle maintenance including tire service, brake repair.
- Interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating heavy machinery.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance.
Skills
- Experience is preferred working on water transfer pumps, and hydro vac trucks.
- Proficient in diesel diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation including John Deere machinery.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques and welding processes.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and soldering skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely as required by the job.
- Knowledge of diesel maintenance practices including pumps & fluid ends.
- Experience in service technician roles is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a strong attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Internship
Pay: $18.00 - $29.00 per year
