Job Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and preventative maintenance.
- Replace brake pads, rotors, calipers, and related brake parts.
- Repair lights, mirrors, wiring, and basic electrical issues.
- Inspect trucks for safety and road readiness.
- Replace or repair tires when needed.
- Perform basic suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs.
- Complete light body work, including touch-up paint, small dent repair, and bondo work.
- Respond to roadside breakdowns when a truck goes down.
- Use our internal maintenance software to track repairs, parts, service history, and completed work.
- Help track parts inventory and notify management when common parts need to be restocked.
- Assist with bulk purchasing needs for common maintenance items such as oil, filters, brakes, bulbs, fluids, tires, and other frequently used parts.
- Keep trucks organized, safe, and ready for daily routes.
- Report larger repair needs to management.
Tools & Company Vehicle
The ideal candidate will have their own basic mechanic tools. We will provide larger tools and specialty equipment as needed.
A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel, including roadside breakdowns, parts runs, and mobile repairs.
Requirements
- Previous mechanic experience required.
- Fleet maintenance experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable working on 2018-2024 gas delivery trucks and commercial fleet vehicles.
- Experience with Ford E-Series, Ford F-59, Chevy/GMC 3500 and 4500 vehicles preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and manage repairs without constant supervision.
- Must be reliable and show up on time.
- Must be able to use internal software to record maintenance, parts, and repairs.
- Must be willing to respond to roadside breakdowns when needed.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be available to work Monday through Saturday.
- Own basic tools preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Fleet maintenance, delivery vehicle maintenance, or commercial truck repair.
- FedEx, Amazon, UPS, USPS, or similar delivery fleet experience.
- Gas engine repair, brake work, tire repair, light electrical, and light body work.
- Ford 7.3L Godzilla and GM 6.0L engine experience.
Pay: $62,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
