Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this leadership role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where toddlers ages 2–3 years can learn, grow, and thrive.
The ideal candidate is warm, energetic, patient, and committed to providing exceptional care while fostering each child's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. You will develop individualized learning experiences, build strong partnerships with families, mentor assistant teachers, and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and educational standards.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on the developmental milestones of children ages 2–3 years, including language development, cognitive growth, motor skills, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a warm, safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where children feel secure, confident, and encouraged to explore.
- Provide individualized instruction and care based on each child's developmental needs.
- Closely supervise children to ensure their safety, health, comfort, and well-being at all times.
- Foster strong, positive relationships with families through daily communication, conferences, and ongoing updates regarding their child's progress and development.
- Lead classroom management by maintaining an organized, stimulating, and welcoming learning environment.
- Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress while maintaining accurate records.
- Plan and implement engaging indoor and outdoor activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence.
- Maintain a clean, healthy classroom by following all sanitizing, disinfecting, and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including emergency preparedness, pediatric CPR, First Aid, and mandated reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to support each child's individual needs, including children with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Observe children's behavior and report concerns regarding neglect, abuse, or developmental delays in accordance with state regulations and school policies.
- Mentor and support assistant teachers while fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers or young children in a licensed daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting.
- Thorough knowledge of child development and best practices for children ages 2–3 years.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and classroom management abilities.
- Creative, energetic, patient, and nurturing.
- Must enjoy actively engaging with children through singing, dancing, storytelling, art, sensory activities, and play-based learning.
- Highly organized, dependable, and committed to providing quality care.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physically able to bend, lift children, sit on the floor, and actively participate in classroom activities.
Required Education
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) and be on an approved study plan,
OR
- A minimum of 90 college credits in any field and be on an approved study plan.
Preferred Certifications
- Pediatric CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Mandated Reporter Training
- Knowledge of health, safety, sanitizing, and emergency procedures.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
