Earthroot Acupuncture & Holistic Health is a growing, integrative wellness practice in the Muskegon area. We offer acupuncture, massage therapy, osteopathic manipulative treatments (OMT) and lifestyle medicine consults. We're expanding our care team and looking for a licensed acupuncturist to join us as an independent contractor. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment for both staff and patients.
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed acupuncturist to provide care to patients on an independent contractor basis. This is a flexible opportunity in that you set your own hours and build your own schedule. Preference may be given to candidates available for evening (after 4:00 PM) and weekend hours, as this is currently an unmet need.
Responsibilities
· Provide acupuncture treatments to patients in accordance with your professional license and scope of practice
· Maintain your own client documentation and treatment records consistent with Michigan licensure and professional standards
· Carry your own professional liability insurance
· Uphold a warm, welcoming, and inclusive care environment for all patients
Requirements
· Active license to practice acupuncture in the State of Michigan (required), or NCBAHM (formerly NCCAOM) certification, allowing eligibility to apply for a Michigan license
· Current professional liability (malpractice) insurance
· An inclusive mindset — genuine respect and care for patient of all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and manage your own practice logistics

Compensation based on experience. Start date is flexible.
Independent Contractor Relationship
This is an independent contractor position, not an employee role. The acupuncturist will operate under their own professional license, control the manner and means of providing care, and be responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and licensure compliance, consistent with an independent contractor arrangement.
