About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to provide exceptional service and strategic support to commercial insurance clients. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day account needs, coordinating renewals, ensuring policy accuracy, and building lasting relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal partners.
The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and knowledgeable in commercial insurance with the ability to balance exceptional client service with strong technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
- Manage policy servicing activities including endorsements, policy changes, audits, billing inquiries, certificates, and coverage questions.
- Build strong client relationships through responsive, solution-oriented service.
- Work closely with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate account management.
Policy Administration & Renewals
- Prepare, process, and review commercial insurance renewals.
- Gather underwriting information and carrier submissions.
- Prepare proposals and client communications.
- Coordinate new business submissions and onboarding activities with producers.
- Review policies for accuracy, coverage alignment, and carrier compliance.
Relationship Management
- Develop trusted relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal business partners.
- Collaborate with producers to support client retention and business growth.
- Assist in resolving coverage issues and advocating for client needs.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation.
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures, carrier guidelines, and insurance regulations.
- Monitor policy timelines and renewal schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial lines insurance, preferably in an Account Manager or Account Executive role.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (or ability to obtain if required).
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and underwriting principles.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with producers and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with commercial insurance renewals and marketing activities.
- Knowledge of carrier guidelines and policy administration processes.
- Experience supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial clients across multiple industries.
