What You'll Do
As a Retail Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for customers, employees, and the property.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the property
- Monitor entrances, exits, sales floors, and other assigned areas
- Deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity
- Conduct routine patrols of the property
- Monitor and respond appropriately to suspicious or unusual activity
- Assist with customer and employee safety concerns when appropriate
- Enforce property rules and company/site procedures
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems when assigned
- Document incidents, disturbances, and other security-related activity
- Complete accurate and detailed incident reports
- Respond to emergencies and contact police, fire, EMS, or management when necessary
- Work closely with retail management and store employees
- Maintain a calm, professional demeanor during difficult situations
- Follow all Metro Security Services policies and site-specific post orders

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to the assigned location
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures
- Previous security, retail, loss prevention, military, law enforcement, or customer-service experience is a plus
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must maintain a professional appearance and follow Metro uniform standards
- Must be dependable and punctual
