About the Role:
The Cook II position is a critical role within our culinary team, responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. This role involves working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction. The Cook II will assist in menu preparation, ingredient selection, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization. They will collaborate closely with other kitchen staff to uphold food safety regulations and contribute to a positive team atmosphere. Ultimately, this position ensures that every dish served reflects our commitment to excellence and enhances the overall dining experience.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 2 years of professional cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.

Knowledge of food safety standards and proper kitchen sanitation practices.

Ability to work standing for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution.

Experience with diverse cuisines and menu development.

ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification.

Previous experience in a high-volume or fast-paced kitchen setting.

Basic knowledge of inventory management and ordering procedures.
Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food to ensure consistency and appeal.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage inventory and minimize food waste.

Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed.

Adapt to changing menu items and special dietary requests efficiently.
