At El Buen Pastor Family Clinic & Wound Care Center, we provide comprehensive healthcare for patients of all ages. Our services include family medicine, pediatric care, chronic disease management, IV therapy, medical weight loss injections, wound care, and aesthetic treatments, giving our Medical Assistants the opportunity to develop a diverse set of clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs
- Perform patient intake and document medical history using our Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Assist providers during examinations and office procedures
- Collect blood samples and perform in-house laboratory testing
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
- Assist with IV therapy treatments and monitor patients during infusions
- Support medical weight loss programs, including injectable therapies
- Prepare patients for aesthetic procedures and assist providers as needed
- Assist with pediatric patient care, including immunizations and well-child visits
- Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and complete administrative tasks
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and infection control standards
- Deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining professionalism and compassion
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a family practice, urgent care, pediatric, or outpatient clinic preferred
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate compassion, integrity, and respect for all patients.
Schedule
Applicants must be available to work within our clinic hours:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Individual schedules and compensation will be discussed during the in-person interview.
