Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and positioning them correctly on the imaging table
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and safety standards
- Acquire high-quality diagnostic images by adjusting imaging parameters based on patient-specific needs
- Monitor patients throughout the procedure, providing reassurance and addressing any concerns or discomfort
- Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging data, procedural notes, and safety documentation
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to review images and ensure diagnostic quality
- Follow strict safety guidelines related to magnetic fields, radiofrequency energy, and contrast media administration
- Assist in inventory management of supplies and contrast agents used during procedures
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with technological advancements and best practices in MRI imaging
Requirements
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) required
- Proven experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to imaging procedures
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to magnetic fields, contrast media, and radiation protection
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing accurate diagnostic images
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and emergency situations
