We’re looking for a compassionate, energetic, and collaborative Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is passionate about making a lasting impact in the lives of children and their families.
Position Summary
The COTA will provide pediatric occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, collaborating with families and other healthcare providers, and creating engaging, child-led therapy sessions that promote meaningful functional outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITES
● Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising OT.
● Provide one-on-one pediatric therapy sessions using evidence-based and play-based interventions.
● Document treatment sessions accurately and efficiently.
● Monitor client progress and communicate observations with the supervising OT.
● Educate and collaborate with caregivers to encourage carryover of therapy strategies at home.
● Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
● Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other professionals as needed.
● Uphold ethical and professional standards in accordance with state licensure requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
● Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification.
● Current state licensure (or eligible for licensure).
● CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
● Experience working with children preferred but not required.
● Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
● Passion for helping children reach their fullest potential.
