Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment programs to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall physical function. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
- Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to facilitate recovery.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment protocols and home exercise programs.
- Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients post-treatment.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
- Experience in discharge planning for effective patient transitions.
- Familiarity with various patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and inpatient care settings.
- Ability to develop care plans that address individual patient needs effectively.
- Previous experience in home community care is a plus but not mandatory.
