Edge Design Group is an Atlanta-based floral and event design studio specializing in weddings, corporate events, galas, and large-scale installations. We are a production studio — not a retail shop — and our work is fast-paced, hands-on, and detail-driven.
The Role
We're looking for a part-time Floral Assistant to support our studio team 3–5 days per week on an as-needed basis. This is not a designer role — we're not looking for someone with years of event experience. But we do want someone who has a basic familiarity with flowers: maybe you've worked at a florist, taken a floral class, grown a garden, or just have a genuine hands-on interest in the craft. What matters most is a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to show up ready to work.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow their knowledge in a working production studio environment.
What You'll Do
- Process and prep fresh flowers (de-leafing, hydrating, conditioning, sorting)
- Build and organize trays and buckets for event production
- Assist designers with prep tasks as directed
- Keep the studio clean, organized, and stocked
- Help with general studio upkeep and supply management
- Assist with load-in and load-out as needed
What We're Looking For
- Some basic familiarity with flowers required — retail floral experience, a floral class, hobby gardening, or similar; we will build on what you know
- Genuine interest in florals and event production
- Reliable, punctual, and takes direction well
- Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods and doing repetitive physical tasks
- Available 3–5 days per week with schedule flexibility as event needs shift
- Positive attitude and a team-first mentality
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time, approximately 3–5 days per week based on studio schedule
- Hours vary week to week depending on events
- Compensation based on experience
