Event EMTs and Paramedics — Hiring Immediately
Windsor EMS is immediately hiring Texas-certified EMTs and Paramedics to provide on-site medical coverage at events throughout the Greater Houston area.
Our event assignments include:
- Concerts and live entertainment
- Professional, college, and high school football games
- Baseball and other sporting events
- Racing and motorsports events
- Track and field competitions
- Festivals, community gatherings, and private events
- Corporate and special-event standbys
Compensation
EMT: $20.00 per hour
Paramedic: $30.00 per hour
This position is for event medical coverage only. Event locations, dates, times, and shift lengths will vary based on client needs and scheduled events throughout the Houston area.
Position Summary
Event EMTs and Paramedics provide professional on-site medical standby coverage and respond to illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies occurring during assigned events.
Team members must provide appropriate, efficient, and timely prehospital care in accordance with their level of certification, Windsor EMS protocols, and all applicable local, state, and national standards of practice.
Minimum Requirements
- Current Texas EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic certification
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification
- Current Texas driver’s license in good standing
- Ability to pass all required background checks, drug screenings, and credential verifications
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Ability to remain alert and prepared throughout the entire event assignment
- Ability to work effectively with event staff, security personnel, law enforcement, fire departments, and other public-safety agencies
- Reliable transportation to event locations throughout the Greater Houston area
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrive at the assigned event location on time and in the required uniform
- Inspect assigned medical equipment and verify that all required supplies are present and operational
- Provide professional medical standby coverage throughout the event
- Assess patients for signs and symptoms of illness or injury
- Provide basic or advanced life support care within the limits of certification and approved medical protocols
- Request additional EMS, fire, or law-enforcement resources when necessary
- Assist with patient movement, lifting, carrying, and stretcher operations when required
- Coordinate patient care and transfer information to transporting EMS personnel or receiving medical facilities
- Complete accurate and timely patient-care reports and all required event documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional medical treatment area
- Safely operate company vehicles when assigned and authorized
- Immediately report equipment issues, supply needs, incidents, or safety concerns to a supervisor
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA requirements
- Follow all Windsor EMS policies, operational procedures, safety requirements, and medical protocols
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and event briefings
Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to:
- Stand or walk for extended periods
- Work indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Climb stairs and navigate large event venues
- Lift, carry, and move patients and medical equipment
- Assist with transferring patients onto stretchers or other transport devices
- Work in crowded, loud, or fast-moving environments
Scheduling
Event assignments are available throughout the week, including:
- Days
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Holidays
Schedules vary based on event demand. Applicants may accept assignments based on their availability, but reliability and punctuality are essential once an assignment has been accepted.
