Quality Assurance Supervisor responsible for overseeing sanitation operations, ensuring compliance with GMP, FDA, and HACCP standards, and driving continuous improvement in food safety. Leads a team of sanitation staff, develops SOPs, and supports internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily sanitation operations across all shifts, monitoring efficiency and implementing improvements.
Assist Quality Manager with training and initiatives on quality, food safety, and sanitation.
Develop and maintain Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) aligned with GMP and FDA regulations.
Manage chemical inventory, ordering, and usage to optimize chemical utilization.
Monitor employee adherence to GMPs, cleanliness, sanitation, and pest control; report noncompliance.
Support SQF, customer, and internal audits; document audit findings and corrective actions.
Train, develop, discipline, and evaluate sanitation staff; resolve personnel grievances.
Develop, implement, and oversee environmental monitoring sampling plan and record trends.
Investigate root causes of failures, complete deviation reports, and track corrective/preventive actions.
Maintain and revise Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) covering daily to annual cleaning tasks.
Ensure maintenance and calibration of all sanitation equipment.
Collaborate with production supervisors, leads, QA manager, and external vendors/contractors.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of documentation organization/handling experience in sanitation and environmental control in food manufacturing or similar industry.
Experience with GMP, Allergen, and HACCP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe or similar document applications.
Familiarity with internal office systems, documentation storage, retrieval, and archival processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective communication with internal and external customers.
Ability to navigate Windows environment and PC-based systems.
Knowledge of HACCP and GFSI requirements.
Supervisory experience with hourly resources.
Preferred Skills:
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) strongly preferred.
