Recreation Aide
Join our team at Oyster Bay Manor/Harbor House, a serene and compassionate assisted living facility in Oyster Bay, New York, where every resident is treated like family. We're looking for a Recreation Aide with a "Yes, I can" attitude to help enrich the lives of our senior residents through engaging activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize engaging activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents
- Implement and oversee recreational programs and services that enhance residents' quality of life
- Adapt and adjust activities based on resident feedback and needs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in recreation or related fields a plus
- Skills:
+ Proficiency in one or more areas, such as art, music, dance, trivia, games, exercise, movies, literature, or poetry
+ Strong interpersonal skills to connect with residents of diverse backgrounds
+ Ability to plan, organize, and lead activities for large groups, small groups, and one-on-one sessions
+ Clear communication and enthusiasm to motivate residents to participate actively
+
MUST BE VACCINATED
- Education: High School Diploma (minimum requirement)
