Porter for a Luxury Residential Building - New York, 10016 + 10029
Our luxury residential building is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the assigned building. The Porter will report to the Superintendent or Management regarding any issues that may arise, and will work alongside the handyman as instructed. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and experience in residential building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the assigned building
- Report any problems to the Superintendent or Management, including tenant concerns about the condition of the building
- Check specific areas for debris, cleanliness, and maintenance
- Follow established procedures set by management
- Assist the handyman as instructed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Detail-oriented, able to multitask, and friendly
- Strong interpersonal skills, as this position requires interactions with residents and personnel
- Previous experience working in residential buildings preferred
- Fluent in the English language
- Prior experience in luxury buildings preferred
Physical Demands:
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb stairs and walk long distances
Working Conditions:
- The Porter will work in a luxury residential building, which is well-lit and air-conditioned. The noise level is moderate.
Schedule:
- Must be available any shift
