We are seeking a seasoned Director of Finance to oversee and manage all financial, legal and IT activities for DEC’s North American business, based in Brick, New Jersey. This individual will manage a small but highly capable team and will serve as a key strategic partner to senior leadership in driving growth, ensuring compliance, and enabling sound decision-making. This role reports directly to the local Managing Director and the Group Finance Director based in Switzerland and will act as a strategic partner to the local management team to support aggressive growth—both organically and through acquisitions.
This is a high-impact leadership role in a PE-backed industrial manufacturing environment, ideal for a hands-on, operationally savvy finance executive with proven success in dynamic, multinational settings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, cash flow management, and financial reporting
- Strong focus on cash management
- Partner with executive leadership to shape and execute growth strategies across North America
- Ensure alignment with global financial objectives and reporting requirements
Accounting, Tax & Legal Compliance
- Oversee all accounting practices, internal controls, audits, and statutory reporting
- Manage tax planning, compliance, and filings across relevant jurisdictions
- Supervise legal matters, including contracts, regulatory issues, and risk management
- Manage external auditors during the year end audit process.
Supply Chain & Operations
- Lead and optimize supply chain and procurement strategies in collaboration with local and global operations
- Drive efficiency improvements and cost control across sourcing, logistics, and warehousing
Information Technology
- Supervise IT infrastructure and ERP systems to support current operations and scalable growth
- Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Identify, assess, and execute M&A opportunities in the region
- Lead due diligence, integration planning, and post-deal implementation
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial and operational experience in a leadership role
- Strong background in industrial manufacturing, ideally within private equity-backed businesses
- Big 4 public accounting/audit experience is helpful
- Demonstrated experience managing the financial function of a foreign subsidiary of a multinational group
- Proven success in scaling operations in high-growth environments, including M&A execution
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax law, and regulatory standards
- ERP system expertise: Power BI or equivalent experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred

Pay: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
