Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaning Technician to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across various commercial and industrial spaces. Your expertise in cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and floor care will ensure our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling instructions to prevent accidents or contamination
- Operate floor buffers, polishers, and other floor care equipment to maintain pristine flooring surfaces
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of industrial spaces by performing specialized cleaning tasks such as industrial cleaning and equipment sanitation
- Assist with custodial duties including trash removal, dusting, window washing, and surface disinfecting
- Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial experience or custodial background with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling, safety protocols, and proper manual handling techniques
- Experience operating floor buffers, polishers, or other floor care machinery preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance tasks is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks throughout shifts
